I will start the talk with a quick overview of current haptics technologies and their potential application in providing keyclick feedback on touch screens. I will then describe a recent study on the masking of key-click feedback signals on a virtual keyboard when all fingers are resting on the typing surface. The implications of the study on the development of flat keyboards will be discussed.
